President Obama has only been in office for three weeks and yet so much has been happening. According to this author, though, his troubles have not gone unnoticed. His admitted mistakes on nominees for cabinet departments shows his lack of experience. The hastiness in the passing of the stimulus plans did not include certain promises made by him while on the campaign trail. According to the author, the challenge that will be even more difficult than the stimulus plan will be bringing stability to the nation’s banking system. Despite the challenges, President Obama has made strives in his first few weeks. He has passed three legislation measures including the Lilly Ledbetter employment discrimination measure as the well as the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. Because of the country’s poor situation, though, President Obama will have to measure up to higher standards.
Well, obviously President Obama's honeymoon period did not last long. But I have to say, I bet no other president has done so much so early in their presidency as he has, but then again if he hadn't, we would have had some really big problems. A lot is expected of him because of all the campaign promises he has made. People don't forget promises like that. Even though our country is forgiving for his mistakes in cabinet nominees, we still have high expectations.
